He began his artistic career as a musician, playing in a band until 2008, the year in which he became interested in the world of painting, a passion that he has always carried over the years and which came to fill a void after the folding of the group.

His self-taught approach allowed him to consolidate visual and experimental compositions without following a precise method of operation, but attesting his character through a language close to the world of street art.
Consequently, it paved the way moving him into painting using a wall rather than a canvas as a support, always conceiving works of art as a purely emotional vision.
His work began to be characterized by a multiform style in which anthropomorphic characters come to life, animals that get confused with man, where nature makes poetry.
The use of materials such as the spray can, a typical hallmark of the writers of the world, the fast stroke and gesture in the composition, mark Tony Gallo among the new artists who look upon a path that brings the distinctive stamp of an emotional art, in which the characteristic of poetry, magic and feeling blend with the colours and the harmony of a universe created by the author's imagination.
The new means of global communication, such as social networks have enabled a rapid spread of the collective unconscious of the artist's media recognition, thus creating a visibility that soon gained space and approval by, initially, the local Paduan community, and then the street environment and the art world, where the first affirmations arrived.

The sensitivity of his characters that watch the viewer in a calm and mute manner, has become a unique symbol of a silent and attentive generation that thrives on dreams and expectations.
These representations arrive at the heart of the city that is populated within the walls on which his figures are coloured, thus arriving at a collective identification.
In 2016, the city of Padua rewarded him at the Galileo Innovation Festival with Noi#Generazione Merito.
Over the course of several years, the city walls have been "graffitied" by the magic of Tony Gallo and his works are found in various sites: in primis in his native Padua, then in Imola, Treviso, Dolo, Bassano del Grappa and his language translated into paintings has been imprinted in many solo and collective exhibitions in Padua, Rovigo, Vicenza, Treviso, Bassano del Grappa and London, where he has gone beyond his lexicon towards an increasingly international outlook, reaching the Netherlands and Switzerland.

"In my works the human form is like a second skin, which has the ability to camouflage itself in nature taking on the forms of an animal or a tree, whilst maintaining however the feelings, the emotions and the values of men. This artistic research has become an introduction into a magical journey from which I have learnt an important lesson, which is contradictory in that you need to look beyond reality but at the same time not trust in what you see."

Exploring emotions

"I love thinking that my artistic expression provokes reactions and feelings of curiosity in observers that stem from the profound need to explore an imaginary world that only a few know about, and I like to believe that others will be able to get a glimpse of. My subjects are hidden in bright colors in order to be better accepted, but at the same time not be afraid of being judged because they feature a hidden personality ready to delve into the emotions of the the people that they interact with."

Tony Gallo è nato a Padova nel 1975 dove vive e lavora.
Il suo percorso artistico comincia come musicista suonando come componente in una band, attività a cui si dedica fino al 2008, anno che lo vede avvicinarsi al mondo della pittura, una passione sempre portata avanti negli anni e che arriva poi a colmare un vuoto dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo.

La sua formazione da autodidatta lo porta a consolidare visioni e sperimentazioni compositive senza seguire uno schema preciso, ma attestando la sua personalità attraverso un linguaggio vicino al mondo della street art.
Si apre quindi una strada che si trasferisce nella pittura utilizzando come supporto sia il muro che la tela, concependo sempre le opere come una visione puramente emotiva.
I suoi lavori cominciano ad essere contrassegnati da uno stile multiforme in cui prendono vita personaggi antropomorfi, animali che si confondono con l'uomo, dove la natura si fa poesia.
L'uso dei materiali quali la bomboletta spray, segno tipico distintivo del mondo dei writer, il tratto veloce e il gesto nella composizione, inscrivono Tony Gallo tra i nuovi artisti che si affacciano ad un percorso che porta l'impronta caratterizzante di un'arte emozionale, cui la caratteristica di poesia, magia e sentimento si fondono con i colori e l'armonia di un universo creato dalla fantasia dell'autore.
I nuovi mezzi di comunicazione globale quali i social network, hanno permesso una rapida diffusione nell'immaginario collettivo di un riconoscimento dell'artista a livello mediatico, creando così una visibilità che ha presto raggiunto spazi e approvazione da parte sia, all'inizio, della comunità locale patavina, sia nell'ambiente street che nel mondo dell'arte successivamente, da dove poi sono arrivate le prime conferme.

La sensibilità dei suoi personaggi che guardano lo spettatore in maniera pacata e muta, è diventata simbolo univoco di una generazione silenziosa e attenta che vive di sogni e attese.
Queste sue rappresentazioni arrivano poi al cuore della città che si popola nei muri sui quali si colorano le sue figure, arrivando così ad una collettiva identificazione.
Nel corso degli anni diversi sono i muri delle città che sono stati "graffiati" dalla magia di Tony Gallo e sue opere si trovano in varie siti: in primis nella natia Padova, successivamente ad Imola, Treviso, Dolo, Bassano del Grappa e il suo linguaggio tradotto in tele si è impresso in svariate collettive e personali tra Padova, Rovigo, Vicenza, Treviso, Bassano del Grappa e Londra, dove ha travalicato il suo lessico verso un respiro sempre più internazionale, fino a raggiungere l’Olanda e la Svizzera.

"Nelle mie opere l’essere umano, come in una seconda pelle, ha la possibilità di mimetizzarsi nella natura prendendo le sembianze di un animale o di un albero, mantenendo intatti però i sentimenti, le emozioni, i valori dell’uomo. Questa ricerca artistica è diventata per me l’addentrarsi in un viaggio magico da cui ho tratto una prima lezione importante, ancorché apparentemente contraddittoria: bisogna oltrepassare sempre la realtà, al contempo guai a fidarsi delle apparenze."

"Amo pensare che la mia espressività artistica susciti in chi la osserva reazioni e sentimenti di curiosità, perché nasce dalla necessità profonda di esplorare un mondo fantastico che solo a pochi è dato conoscere, e mi piace credere che attraverso di essa qualcuno possa scorgerlo. I miei soggetti si travestono di colori accesi per essere meglio accettati, ma al contempo non temono il giudizio perché sfoggiano una segreta personalità atta a scavare nelle emozioni delle persone con cui interagiscono."
